Starting off the New Year

How Should I Start? It’s amazing how organizing things can make a big difference around the house. Start out with something small. Decide on an area that would make you feel the best to have organized. Are the Tupperware lids in the kitchen driving you crazy? Start there, and you might find that are ready to move on to something more extensive.
Need New Ways to Organize? Start by choosing an appropriately sized container- try using a basket, box or even a jar. If your items will be in view, use a container that is attractive and durable. Decorative baskets are easy to find in many shapes, sizes and colors. Baskets make it easy to organize any room. If you are looking for a different look, try an office supply store. Metal mesh accessories are great for organizing rubber-bands, pens and binder clips. How about trying a glass jar? Glass jars are an easy way to organize small colorful items. What can be better than a pre-made junk-drawer organizer? Those make organizing the messiest drawer a simple task.
Reinventing Your Space… Sometimes it’s good to shake things up by changing things around. Try rearranging the furniture, or even taking out a piece of furniture to give your room more space. Add a potted plant and a few pictures. Even putting something different on the mantle or shelves can bring a new look to the room.
Add Some Accessories… Area rugs can add a touch of sophistication to the room. Plants can also be very decorative, and be good for your health. Try adding new hardware to your kitchen or entrance to ad elegance.
There are so many ways to change things around the house to give it a different look and feel. Coming home to an organized, attractive house is something everyone can appreciate.
