Long-Term & Short Term Mortgage Rates This Weekend

Freddie Mac just released it’s Primary Mortgage Market Survey!

The 30 year fixed-rate mortgage  averaged 6.11% with an average 0.5 point for the week ending December 13, 2007. This is up from last week when it averaged 5.96%. Last year, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.12%.

The 15 year fixed-rate mortgage this week averaged 5.78% with an average 0.5 point, up from last week when it averaged 5.65%. A year ago, the 15 year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 5.86%.

The 5 year Treasury-indexed hybrid adjustable-rate mortgages averaged 5.89% this week, with an average 0.6 point. This is up from last week when it averaged 5.75%. A year ago, the 5 year adjustable-rate mortgage averaged 5.92%.

The 1 year adjustable-rate mortgage averaged 5.50% this week with an average 0.6 point. This is up from last week when it was 5.46%. A year ago, the 1 year adjustable-rate mortgage averaged 5.45%.
