June is a weird month for produce. Not really spring anymore, but not quite summer. It’s the only time of year where you’ll find fresh spring greens next to bright summer berries at the Farmer’s Market. Speaking of the Farmer’s Market, if you’ve made it out on Saturday morning to our wonderful market downtown, you’ll have noticed there’s a lot more vendors and a whole lot more fresh produce to choose from! Do you find yourself wandering around the market, longingly looking at all of the fruits and veggies but not knowing what to do with them? Well, you’re in luck! Goose Ridge Winery is offering cooking classes and the focus this month is Farmer’s Market.
“Ever wondered what to do with all that beautiful and fresh produce available at the farmers market? Join us for your chance to learn different delicious ways to prepare seasonal produce for the month of June. Both fruits and vegetables will be featured, secrets shared on how to choose the best produce and you’ll be able to take a taste home. Price includes 2 glasses of wine, recipes and all the knowledge you can soak up.”
